Broadway Roasting Company (Kansas City)

Broadway Roasting Company (Kansas City)

For every trip I make, I try to stop at local coffee shops. This year I had the opportunity to go to Kansas City twice. Once for work and the second time was for the great american solar eclipse. I will need to say, kudos to Kansas City. For a small city in the mid-west it has a lot to offer. From the BBQ scene (stop by Q39 for some great BBQ) to the coffee scene.

Since I haven't stayed long in Kansas City, my experience have been limited with the coffee shops I have visited. I stopped by an amazing regional chain called Kaldi's Coffee, they offer solid coffee options. As a pastry lover, their upside down pineapple cake was amazing...  The location that I stopped by was at the Country Club area.

On my two trips I stopped by Broadway Roasting Company. I stopped at their roasting location where they offer espresso based drinks and other coffee based drinks (e.g. cold brew coffee). I tried a cortado and their cold brew. The cold brew has been hands down one of my favorites. Upon further inquire they told me that their cold brew is brewed for about 20 hours, the resulting concentrate is then diluted with a bit of water. I asked to taste the actually concentrate and it was really smooth and not overpowering. Broadway Roasting Co. also has a secondary location down the street. You know that a coffee-shop means business when include a brew method section on their website .
